Stages of Life
This term for History, Class One will be focusing on the topic of 'Childhood'. This project teaches children about everyday life and families today, including comparisons with childhood in the 1950s, using artefacts and a range of different sources.
This week our focus was 'stages of life'. Our Key Question was:
- Can you identify the stages that people go through as they grow older and recognise the change over time?
We discussed physical changes, and how our age can define which stage we are in. As we progress, we will think about the fact that people grow from being babies to toddlers, then children, adolescents, adults and elderly people. We will discuss that as people grow older, they have more responsibilities, such as having a job, buying a house, looking after children and elderly parents.
