Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium subsidy provides additional funding to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils in publicly funded schools. Its purpose is to ensure that no child is left behind and that children can develop to their fullest potential. This academic year the Pupil Premium allocation was £1455 for pupils in Reception up until Year 6 (£2530 for pupils previously looked after by a local authority or other state care).
It’s allocated for schools to:
- improve the academic outcomes of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities
- close the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers across the country
How can I find out if my child is entitled to funding?
Those eligible for the Pupil Premium are any child who has received Free School Meals over the past 6 years; children who are cared for or those adopted from care; and children whose parents are in the armed forces. If you think your child maybe eligible, please complete this additional form.
